Broadband Expert surveyed 1,000 people (56.5% women and 43.5% men) in an attempt to see just how important people view the internet in comparison to other valued items and activities.
Specifically, they compared internet use to multiple other activities and asked men and women to rank them based on importance. For both men and women, the ability to stay online outweighed activities such as keeping in shape, driving, and even sex. Further data shows that both sexes use the internet primarily for email and work, and use it least for gaming and online shopping.
Additionally, men and women both spend over a full day online at home each week—and this doesn’t even take into consideration how often they use the internet outside of the home.
